Built for NPs and physicians — the only two audiences that can offer these procedures.
Unlike neuromodulator or filler training, sexual wellness injection has a narrower audience. O-Shot and P-Shot are genital PRP injection procedures that require independent evaluation and prescriptive authority — which means Nurse Practitioners and Physicians only. RNs and aestheticians are not in scope for these procedures under any structure.
Arizona is a full-practice state. Board-certified NPs hold independent prescriptive authority and may evaluate, prescribe, and perform O-Shot and P-Shot procedures without a supervising physician. Family, women’s health, and adult-gerontology NPs are all in scope. WHNPs bring additional female GU depth; family and adult-gerontology NPs successfully build combined M&F sexual wellness practices.
- ✓Full O-Shot & P-Shot technique — live patient injection
- ✓PRP preparation and platelet science
- ✓Female & male genitourinary anatomy
- ✓Patient screening, contraindication, and candidate selection
- ✓CMA certification pathway (both procedures)
- ✓Practice-building framework: pricing, packaging, and combined-therapy pairings
Family medicine, urology, OB/GYN, aesthetic medicine, and integrative/functional medicine physicians commonly add O-Shot and P-Shot as cash-pay procedures. No specialty board certification is required for the procedures themselves — but CMA certification is the recognized industry standard for competency documentation and the only way to legally market as an “O-Shot® provider” or “P-Shot® provider.”

Why CMA certification is the whole game.
The Cellular Medicine Association (CMA), founded by Dr. Charles Runels — the physician who developed the O-Shot, P-Shot, and Vampire Facial procedures — is the only body authorized to certify providers to use these registered trademarks.
Marketing your practice as an “O-Shot® provider” or “P-Shot® provider” legally requires CMA certification. Patients researching these procedures are consistently directed to the CMA provider directory — it is the first source of qualified leads for new sexual wellness practices. Providers who skip certification and offer generic “PRP genital rejuvenation” instead consistently underperform on patient acquisition.
Beso Provider Hub is a CMA-recognized training venue. Every NP and physician who completes both training days is eligible to submit for CMA certification as an O-Shot® and P-Shot® provider. Certification submission fees are paid separately to the CMA. For more depth on how to evaluate a training program, see our O-Shot & P-Shot training: what to look for guide.
