Physicians are licensed for the broadest scope, but injectable technique, product knowledge and complication management are still learned by doing. Our courses are taught in small cohorts with live patients, so you spend your time injecting, not watching.
Where physicians usually start
- Experienced injectors often go straight to the advanced Botox or advanced filler courses, which require prior experience.
- New to injectables can start with the Botox + Filler Combo over two days.
- Adding regenerative or wellness services may look at PRP orthopedics, male sexual wellness or peptide fundamentals.
Training and oversight are different jobs
If you also supervise others, as a medical director, your responsibilities extend to the orders, protocols and chart review for the people you oversee. Training in the technique does not replace a sound agreement and an honest review process. See MD vs. DO vs. NP as medical director.

Questions
Do physicians need aesthetic-specific training?
Your license sets your legal scope, and your competence sets your standard of care. Aesthetic technique is a skill learned by supervised practice, so many physicians train even when their license would permit the work.
Can I take advanced courses without prior experience?
No. Advanced courses require foundational training and prior injection experience. The tuition table lists the requirement for each.
Is the training done on live patients?
Hands-on courses use live patients, in small cohorts of up to 4 providers.
Can you serve as a medical director for my practice?
Beso Provider Hub provides medical director services for Arizona practices. See the medical director page for how an engagement works.
